Lisa Maisonet, RDH, PHDHP, EFDA, CDA received her AAS degree in Dental Hygiene from Montgomery County Community College and a BS degree from PA College of Technology. She is enrolled in a Master’s Program in Adult Education at Penn State University. Further, she is certified as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and served as a past adjunct Faculty in the Dental Hygiene Program at Montgomery County Community College.
As a director of operations/clinical educator for her current employer, Lisa works with 26 practices to implement systems that are geared towards prevention. She provides her team with training opportunities that allow them to implement new products and technologies in enhancing patient care. She is passionate about our profession and loves to help push the profession of dental hygiene forward. Currently she has launched the Dental Hygiene Health Alliance of Pennsylvania with two of her colleagues with the purpose of helping to empower dental hygienists in their roles. It is the perfect opportunity to inspire licensed dental hygienists to provide comprehensive care through the integration of the latest in treatment modalities.
Course Description:
- Identify oral bacteria linked to systemic diseases and learn how to combat these in order to create a healthy balance in the mouth
- Identify patients who are at increased risk for inflammation through the integration of salivary testing and learn how to utilize results in providing effective patient care
- Manage successful systems that will lead to a comprehensive assessment technique that will lead to individualized treatment recommendations
- Differentiate between current periodontal therapies to determine and implement best treatment options for patients
- Maintain ethical principles that will guide treatment decision making
- Recommend products that will promote gingival health, strengthen teeth, and control disease in the mouth
- Create a bridge between the medical and dental communities in promoting overall health

Cancellations received by 10/13/21 will be refunded less a 25% administrative fee. No refunds accepted on or after 10/14/21. If there is an emergency or illness after this deadline, the NHDHA would be happy to credit your payment toward another event on a case-by-case basis.
