Course Description
Information you need to know!
Join Christa and LeaAnne for a fun and interactive educational presentation that will enhance your patient’s preventive visit. Rebooting the 2016 ADHA Dental Hygiene Standard of Care for 2022.
We will explore better communication tools and tips for successful patient engagement. Learn strategies and guidance for proper application and documenting the current preventive ADA CDT codes and how to apply them when making a dental hygiene treatment plan for your patients.
Course Objectives
- Evaluate and create innovative oral health learning opportunities for your patients.
- Discover motivational interviewing techniques to better engage and set your patients up for success and better oral health.
- Using the list of current ADA CDT Codes the participant will gain comprehensive knowledge regarding the correct use of the preventive codes at the dental hygiene visit.
- Participant will be able to confidently and accurately maintain consistent documentation, submit the correct ADA CDT codes to dental benefit carriers to reduce errors, prevent costly mistakes, improve legitimate reimbursement. and prevent malpractice claims.
Meet the Presenters
LeaAnne Haney, RDH, CPHDH
LeaAnne graduated from NH Technical Institute in 1980. She practiced clinical dental hygiene for over 38 years. She was appointed to the NH Board of Dental Examiners by Governor Steve Merrill in 1993 where she served a 5 year term and was then appointed as the NH Board of Dental Examiners Investigator until April 2017 completing over 200 investigations.
She has been a member of the Commission on Dental Competency Assessments for 28 years assisting in dental and dental hygiene clinical licensure exams. She was a product development and educator for Dentsply Cavitron and Prophy Jet.
LeaAnne has worked for Northeast Delta Dental for the last 4 years as an Oral Health and Wellness Solutions Specialist and most recently received her certification in public health dental hygiene. She has given continuing education presentations for dental hygiene associations and dental hygiene colleges in ME, NH and VT and presentations for Patterson and dental office administrators.
Christa Keddie, RDH, BSDH, CPHDH
Christa graduated from Mount Ida College in Newton, MA with her dental hygiene degree in 2009, then received her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene, with a concentration in education, in May 2015.
Christa started with Northeast Delta Dental in 2016 as an Oral Health and Wellness Solutions Specialist. She loves talking with dental offices across Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont about preventive services and the value of a risk assessment.
Most recently, Christa received her certification in public health dental hygiene in New Hampshire, and completed a micro-credential course titled, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”

- NHDHA / ADHA Member: $99
- Student: $45
- NOT-YET a Member: Dentist, Assistant, Other: $149
Registration Deadline is March 6, 2022.
Payment Options: Credit cards and checks accepted. Checks must be received in the NHDHA office by March 6, 2022.
Refund Policy: Cancellations received by 3/6/22 will be refunded less a 25% administrative fee. No refunds accepted on or after 3/7/22.
If there is an emergency or illness after this deadline, the NHDHA would be happy to credit your payment toward another event on a case-by-case basis.
